How To Get A Hot Tub In Your Basement

The only place you have for a hot tub is in your basement or lower level and you do not have a walk out or a door large enough to get a tub in, well you are in luck many hot tub manufactures today make a truly portable hot tub. These hot tubs have the same user friendly qualities as a conventional hot tub without the weight and physical restraints. Portable hot tubs run on standard 110 volt circuits and are filled with a garden hose so no special wiring or plumbing is required.

Portable hot tubs basically come in two different configurations a soft side design that uses compressed air to maintain its shape and a hard side tub that has the look of a tradition cedar enclosed hot tub. Both styles differ by manufacturer but they have the same user qualities as a traditional hot tub, they have built in heaters, filter systems and of course water jets.

Setting up a portable hot tub in your home is much easier than a traditional hot tub, you do not need to have a crew come to install it remember it is meant to be portable it can be set up in as little as 20 minutes anywhere you choose, all you need is an electrical outlet and a garden hose to fill it up. Having a quick and easy set up also allows for a quick and easy disassembly. This a great feature for instance if you want your tub outside but do not want to heat or maintain it throughout the winter you may quickly drain your tub roll it up and you are set for the winter. In a standard hot tub you would be forced to either heat and maintain the tub or go through a complicate winterizing closing procedure.

The beauty of these portable hot tubs is that in their deflated or shipped state they weigh less than 75 pounds this means they can be easily shipped anyplace, no expensive delivery charges that are associated with fiberglass tubs. In addition the light weight and compact size allows the owner to do things with it they never imagined possible. How about taking your portable hot tub on your next camping trip or set up your tub at the next race weekend.

Many peoples objections to hot tub ownership involve excuses like I do not want to have to maintain a hot tub, they are too expensive, and what do I do with a hot tub if I stop using it? The portable hot tub addresses all of these concerns first they come with a self contained filter system all you have to do is check the chemicals and change a filter periodically. Second the issue of price while a tradition fiberglass type hot tub will sell for several thousands of dollars a portable hot tub can be found for around one thousand dollars and remember there are no set up costs. Finally if you find after a time that you no longer use the hot tub or need the space or even need to move it a portable hot tub can be dismantled and stored in an attic or easily moved to a new location.
